Country Woman Magazine had identified 45 "Amazing Women" in honor of their 45th Anniversary in 2015. Audra Mulkern was honored alongside Temple Grandin, Krysta Harden, Sandra Day O'Connor and many others who represent the movement in embracing and celebrating women and the country way of life. In collaboration with Columbian artist, Daniela of La Ramona and writer Debbie Weingarten, we created a piece that speaks to the stories of female farmers and farmworkers. The objective of the collaboration was to invite women journalists who cover the different manifestations of gender violence and bring them together with illustrators so that through dialogue the artist can create an illustrated piece that represents something about the woman/women the journalist writes about.
